2023 has begun like all past New Year’s, with fireworks lighting up the skies worldwide. Great expectations for life improvements are everywhere. And like every other year, the excitement will dissipate as quickly as the fireworks display fades from sight.

Real Estate Boards across Canada are rolling out the stats for 2022 to add to all the previous year’s stats. How did 2022 measure up? Were prices higher or lower? Was it a buyer’s, seller’s, or balanced market? Did mortgage rates go up or down? Did the government change the mortgage rules for CMHC-insured mortgages? Who cares? The answers to these noisy questions do not matter in 2023. Nothing that happened in the past Calgary Real Estate Market matters in 2023.

Next, because the condition of his home would also be in his control, he would give some worry time to that.
